Every Day is Halloween

Today I thought, my post(s) would include some of our interviews and articles and that would be that, ;forgetting that every day, even in this pandemic, brings with it interesting and magical occurrences. The day started out as a B- since my air conditioner shut off with a beep around 4 am . Not good as I need the white noise to sleep (and coolness). Luckily, the water reservoir was just full and it is good to go now after a draining.
Got my coffee, looked at my emails, scanned CNN and Ottawa Citizen and then 20 minutes on the eliptical and then arm exercises on my York multi gym. Very hot day too. It's summer yeah.I am a Fall person . These days though I kiss the ground every day. 
 Steve checked his texts and found a message from the organizer of a Medieval Faire we were vendors at last summer. Jessie Edwards is a well known Game designer, event organizer  and multi talented individual . She was very impressed by the medieval chair Steve made and wanted to know if she could rent it for a photo shoot in a beautiful field somewhere. Sounds cool. Also do we have any weapons for a Dark themed shoot?
Does a rubber skull head mace sound good? This has me all revved up to work on some props and costuming! as we say around here "Every day is Halloween "

Drive to Elements and Pembroke Home via Eganville August 10

 Yesterday Steven and I took a flying trip to see Nikki Laframboise at Elements LuxuryTented Camp-Renfrew to pick up an antique head and foot board she put aside for us to pick up. Steve creates amazing upcycled furniture pieces and this acquisition will be the start of the next unique piece of furniture. Along the way we stopped in at the Braeside Antique Shop in an old church . Then on to Elements and a lovely visit (as always) with Nikki to boot.  We had not been to Pembroke since March 13 (didn't see much as we were working at an event  the time )so we made it a day and drove there for a picnic in the waterfront Park and to check out the incredible \Value Village for for some additional transformable pieces.  Agter Pembroke,we took the long way home past Lake Dore . We stopped at the cemetary at church point (a memorable place for us from years ago. We took a couple of videos of the sights and sounds of the lake including thunder heralding an impending storm...

Cobden and Beachburg Ontario
