What's The Craziest Small Biz Story You've Experienced?

As a psychic  entertainment entrepreneur, it is challenging to find a slot of personal holiday time in advance that does not cut into an event booking. Holiday Monday May 20, 2019 my partner Steve and I decided to run away to beautiful Barcelona Spain and by Friday May 24 we boarded the plane in Montreal all with gigs booked both Saturday and Sunday right after returning. It was tight but we are troopers.
Upon returning, the two of us worked at the Saturday family reunion event and then Sunday Steve was committed elsewhere   so I entertained at the Sunday Mardi Gras  event on my own. Costumed as a fortune teller for this 60th birthday party (2-5 pm on a Sunday) in a condominium party room; I offered added mystery and gave the guests lots to talk about . The theme was Mardi Gras and the décor was amazing. An authentic jazz band played for the entirety and I was situated in a decorated booth offering very reasonable party specific psychic reading prices. The hostess put on her own event and the guests paid for my services directly . It worked very well because the hostess advertised me well in advance by sending a newsletter informing guests that I would be reading tarot cards, palms, faces and tea leaves to each guest highlighting my role and encouraging them to have a reading. She had been at a party where I was before; as had several of the guests and was so impressed with me that  she wanted me for her own  event.
The hostess (birthday girl ) did not get a chance to have a reading at the party so I offered to go to her apartment at a later date for a free session. She was delighted and took me up on it. I said I would be happy to read for her  96 year old mother as well . Her daughter was visiting when I arrived, so I read for the 3 generations and they they loved me!!! Lots of "ah ha" and "OMG"moments during the readings . For example, I asked the grandmother if she knew a Bishop and it turned out she did!  My work here is done. Another day in the life of a professional psychic.
